Tools

The tool is the interface between the physician hand and the patient. Its purpose is to help the physician navigate a needle to a specific location inside the patient. There are different kinds of tools for different applications. Needless to say that all tools are MRI compatible.

  1. Tracheal Tube - The sensor is connected to a tracheal tube to enable head position tracking during surgery.
  2. Navigus - The sensor is attached to a Navigus frameless guidance system for brain intervention.
  3. Pointer - The sensor is connected to a pointer for neurosurgical procedures.
  4. Hand Held - A small hand held tool for use in a short bore MRI, where the physician can easily insert his hand into the MRI.
  5. Grid - For prostate brachytherapy.
  6. Biopsy Gun - A guidance probe for prostate biopsy.
