About Us
Robin Medical, Inc., is a medical technology incubator company founded in 1997 by physicians and engineers from the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Robin Medical's main focus is in the field of MR-guided interventions. Our primary product, the EndoScout® tracking system enables navigation of devices to their target under realtime MRI. It was developed during the years 2001-2004 with SBIR grant support and it is FDA-cleared to guide any surgical intervention. It is clinically used in five leading clinical centers - the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Stanford University Medical Center, Norton Hospital, Shiga University in Japan, and Sheba Medical Center in Israel. It is also installed for research on closed bore scanners at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Clinical Center of the NIH, the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
The technology is well protected by several issued and pending patents and a substantial technical know-how.
Our mission is to provide the required tools to transform MRI from almost pure diagnostic modality into a commonly used interventional tool.
